Michigan's state fish gets its due here, with Patrick Kelly Wise's watercolor brook trout — the worm-like vermiculation along the back, red spots ringed in pale blue halos, and those white-edged orange fins — translated into thread and embroidered on the front panel. It rides on a Port & Co brushed twill dad hat, 100% brushed cotton twill with that soft, already-broken-in feel, an unstructured low-profile six-panel crown and a pre-curved bill. The adjustable back strap fits most, and every stitch traces an original painting by the artist, not a stock graphic, so buying it supports a working Northern Michigan angler and painter directly.

Yes — the preview is the production file. What you see on the garment is what gets printed, in the position and size shown.
What if I order the wrong size?＋
Because each piece is custom-decorated to order, we can't restock returns — double-check the size chart, and email us before your order goes to production if you need a change.
How should I wash it?＋
Turn it inside out, machine wash cold, hang dry or tumble low. The decoration is rated for years of washes when cared for this way.
